PRB: You May Be Prompted to Upgrade Your Computer to Windows NT 4.0 or Later When You Connect to a Windows XP-Based Computer (283418)

When you open an analyzer file in Microsoft Visual InterDev and you attempt to connect the project to another Windows XP-based computer, you may receive the following error message:
Visual Studio Analyzer
The client machine you just added does not have a version of COM that is optimized for Visual Studio Analyzer. Install Windows/NT 4 SP4 or later on the client machine to see events from COM and to improve system performance.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because Visual Interdev was designed to work with Windows NT 4,0 Service Pack 4 (SP4).
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, click Do not show this warning again.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
