Performing a Manual Backup of Jet Database Produces an Error Message (283345)

SYMPTOMS

While you are performing a manual backup of a Jet database, you may receive the following error message
System error 20013 has occurred.
The system cannot find message text for message number 0x4e2d in the message file for BASE.
and the configuration may not revert to the pre-backup state.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

During an automatic backup, Jet performs an incremental backup so that the backup can finish quickly. During a manual backup, Jet performs a complete backup in the specified folder. The format of the backup files is different.
