Internet Connection Wizard Starts After You Close Browser Window (283309)

SYMPTOMS

When you double-click the Internet icon on the Windows desktop, the Internet Connection Wizard (ICW) may start, even if you immediately close the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser window. When you close the Internet Connection Wizard Window, a browser window opens.

WORKAROUND

Although there is no workaround for this issue, the associated behavior causes no harm.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
