SYMPTOMS
After you install the Chinese version of the Input Method Editor (IME) on a Windows XP Professional-based computer, if you disable certain hot key settings, you may not be able to enable again them for reassignment to a different key sequence. The affected hot key settings are:
- IME/nonIME toggle
- IME symbol toggle
- IME shape toggle
- Resend result string
- Previous composition
- UI style toggle
This behavior does not occur if you change these hot key settings without first disabling them.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
