Patterned-Line Fill Becomes Solid Lines When You Print a PowerPoint Document (283298)

When you print a Microsoft PowerPoint document that contains a patterned-line fill, the lines may print as solid lines instead of as patterned lines.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, set both the printer and the PowerPoint program to print in color instead of in black and white or grayscale.
To set the printer to print in color:
- Click Start.
- Click Printers and Faxes.
- Right-click the printer that you are using, and then click Properties.
- On the Advanced tab, click Printing Defaults.
- On the Paper/Quality tab, in the Color box, click Color, and then click OK.
- Click OK again to close the printer's Properties dialog box.
To set the PowerPoint program to print in color:
- In PowerPoint, on the File menu, click Print to print the document.
- In the Print dialog box, under Color/Grayscale, click Color in the drop-down list.
- Click OK to print the document.
