SYMPTOMS

When you use a PostScript-based printer to print a graphic that contains a colorful swirl, the printer may print the background of the swirl instead of the actual swirl.

CAUSE

This behavior is caused by the technique that the print metafile uses to produce the background image. PostScript printing does not support this technique.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
