SYMPTOMS

When you use a Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro device with Windows Millennium Edition (Me) or Windows 98, when you open Control Panel, double-click Power Options, and then click Advanced, there may not be any settings for the Natural Keyboard Pro Sleep hot key in the Power buttons section.

CAUSE

When a Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro device is connected to a PS/2 port on the computer, it is recognized as a Standard 101/102-key or Microsoft Natural Keyboard device; the Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro device and Microsoft Keyboard hot keys are not recognized.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, connect the Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro device to the USB port on the computer.
