XL2000: JPN: Zoomed Cells Are Not Displayed Correctly If You Freeze Panes on Outline Group (283090)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Excel 2000

This article was previously published under Q283090
NOTE: The information in this article applies to the Japanese version%3 of Microsoft Excel.

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel, cell contents may be not displayed correctly if your worksheet is zoomed to a magnification other than 100 percent.
  • If the worksheet is zoomed to less than 100 percent, the characters at the edge of a cell may be truncated.

  • If the worksheet is zoomed to more than 100 percent, a cell may appear wider than its column border.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you use the Freeze Panes command (on the Window menu) and the Group command (point to Group and Outline on the Data menu). If the zoom level is other than 100 percent, Excel makes an incorrect calculation for the display size of the cell.
