SYMPTOMS

When you click to clear Display file size information in folder tips under Folder Options, the file size and type are still displayed when you move the pointer over a file.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because this option applies only to folders. When you clear the option, a folder's size and contents are not displayed when you move the pointer over a folder, but this action does not affect display behavior when you move the pointer over an individual file.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
