Event ID 26 May Be Logged When a Resource Fails (282965)

SYMPTOMS

If a resource fails, Failover Manager may not release resources in a timely manner and may allow the second node to take control over the pending resources too soon. This might cause event ID 26 ("Lost Delayed Write data") to be logged.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
