This article was previously published under Q282940 SYMPTOMS When you attempt to limit data that is synchronized from a
Pocket PC (PPC) device or a Handheld PC (H/PC) device to a desktop computer,
items that you configured to not be synchronized are transferred to the desktop
computer. CAUSE This issue occurs because synchronization restrictions
apply only in a single direction from the desktop (host) computer to the H/PC
or PPC device, and not from the device to the desktop computer. MORE INFORMATION The desktop computer is the default master device and this
setting cannot be changed. Therefore, the synchronization restrictions are
applied to data that is being synchronized from the desktop computer to the PPC
or H/PC device. You cannot configure synchronization restrictions to be applied
to data that is being synchronized from the PPC or H/PC device.
