Manual Web Page Refresh Overrides the "Check for Newer Versions of Stored Pages" Option (282849)

SYMPTOMS

When you use Internet Explorer 6 and press the F5 key or the Refresh button on the toolbar to refresh a Web page, the Web page is refreshed or updated even if you set the Check for newer versions of stored pages option to Never in the Internet Options dialog box.

STATUS

This behavior is by design because a manual refresh takes precedence over expiration time.
