SUMMARY

When you modify the time zone in the Date and Time Properties dialog box, the creation time and possibly the date of the Restore Point change accordingly.

For example:

Assumption: You create a Restore Point in the time zone, Pacific Standard Time (PST).

If you change the computer time zone to Eastern Standard Time (EST), the Restore Point time changes three hours to match the new time. If it is a significant change (more than 12 hours), the date of the Restore Point also changes. In addition, if you use the Restore Point, the computer retains the current time and not the time at which you created the Restore Point.
