Meeting Organizers Can Accept Their Own Meeting Requests in Outlook Mobile Access (282767)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Mobile Information 2001 Server
This article was previously published under Q282767 SYMPTOMS
When you use Microsoft Outlook Mobile Access, you are able to accept a meeting request that you created if you are listed as a recipient of the meeting request. However, if you are using an Outlook client, you cannot accept or decline a meeting request that you originated; the Accept and Decline options do not exist.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because Outlook Mobile Access cannot compare who the originator of the meeting request was to the recipients of the meeting request to check if the sender is also listed as a recipient. Outlook Mobile Access displays the same meeting request dialog box for every meeting request that it displays, regardless of the organizer.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, do not enter your name in the CC box of a meeting request if you are the organizer.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Mobile Information Server 2001.
