WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior of Microsoft Word, use any of the following methods.
Method 1: Rest the Mouse Pointer on the Comment Balloon
To view the name of the commenter and the date and time when the comment was inserted, rest your mouse pointer on the comment balloon.
To delete a comment, right-click the comment balloon, and then click Delete Comment on the shortcut menu that appears.
Method 2: Open the Reviewing Pane
To view the name of the commenter and the data and time when the comment was inserted, open the Reviewing Pane.
To delete a comment, click into the comment in the Reviewing Pane, and then right-click the comment. On the shortcut menu that appears, click Delete Comment.
NOTE: To open the Reviewing Pane, click Reviewing Pane on the Reviewing toolbar. If the Reviewing toolbar is not displayed, point to Toolbars on the View menu, and then click Reviewing.
Method 3: Select Text When You Insert a Comment
Select text before you insert your comment. After you insert your comment, large red braces appear, surrounding the selected text.
To view the comment ToolTip that contains the name of the commenter and the date and time when the comment was inserted, rest your mouse pointer between the large red braces.
To delete a comment, right-click the text between the large red braces, and then click Delete Comment on the shortcut menu that appears.
