WD2002: Complete Style Formatting Not Applied to Table Cell (282545)
The information in this article applies to:
This article was previously published under Q282545 SYMPTOMS
When you apply a Heading style to a table cell with existing Table style formatting applied, the text is not completely formatted in the selected Heading style.
CAUSE
This problem can occur when the initial formatting contains the same formatting that is being applied. For example, if you apply the "Table Colorful 1" style to a table and then apply the "Heading 1" style to the column heading text in the table, the bold formatting is removed. This occurs because both styles (Table Colorful 1 and Heading 1) apply bold formatting.
NOTE: This problem does not occur with all formatting attributes.
WORKAROUND
Manually reapply the missing formatting. For example, if your text should be formatted as bold, then select the text you want to change and click Bold on the Formatting toolbar.
