WD2002: Numbering Restarts After Bulleted Item in Numbered List (282542)

When you number a list that contains bullets, the numbered list may incorrectly restart the numbering after a bulleted item.
NOTE: Clicking Continue Numbering on the AutoCorrect Options shortcut menu, or right-clicking the incorrectly numbered list item and then clicking Continue Numbering on the shortcut menu has no effect on the numbered list.
WORKAROUND
To correct this problem, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Restart the Numbering of the Incorrectly Numbered List Item at the Correct Number
To do this, follow these steps:
- Select the incorrectly numbered list item.
- On the Format menu, click Bullets and Numbering.
- On the Numbered tab, the correct numbered style should be selected. Click Customize.
- In the Customize Numbered List dialog box, change the Start at box to the correct next number, and then click OK.
Method 2: Type the Correct Number for the Incorrectly Numbered List Item
To do this, follow these steps:
- Place the insertion point at the beginning of the line, and then press BACKSPACE.
- Type the correct number and a period for the list item, and then press the SPACEBAR.
