may receive the following error message: STOP 0x00000051

REGISTRY ERROR CAUSE This issue can occur if there is a registry or
Configuration Manager problem with your computer. The error message that is
mentioned in the "Symptoms" section of this article is a Windows 2000 Executive
character-mode STOP error message. An input/output (I/O) error may have
occurred while the registry was trying to read one of the registry files. This
issue may be caused by hardware or file system problems.
You may
also receive this error message if a refresh operation does not work, which
occurs when your computer encounters resource limits.
