Unable to Create a "My Use Only" Dial-Up Connection (282450)

SYMPTOMS

When you create a new dial-up connection on a Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition- or Microsoft Windows XP Professional-based computer, the My use only connection option is not available.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the Connection Availability option is not available in Windows XP Home Edition; it is only available in a Windows XP Professional-based computer when it is a member of a domain.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

All dial-up connections that you create on a Windows XP Home Edition- or a Windows XP Professional-based computer as a member of a workgroup will be available for all users.
