"Show icons using all possible colors" Option Is Not Available (282432)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Windows 2000, the Show icons using all possible colors option can be disabled under Display properties. However, in Microsoft Windows XP, this option is not available.

CAUSE

This option has been removed in Windows XP. Icons will always be shown in all possible colors in Windows XP.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
