OL98: You Cannot Open an Attachment that Is Associated with a Non-Delivery Report (282262)

If try to open or save an attachment that is part of a non-delivery report (NDR), you may receive the following error message:
Message has returned an unknown interface
CAUSE
This problem can occur if you try to open or save an attachment from a NDR when Outlook is running in Internet Mode Only (IMO) mode through an Internet Service Provider (ISP).
RESOLUTIONA supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. To resolve this problem, contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the hotfix.
