You receive a blank page or PostScript errors when you print to a PostScript printer or to a PostScript file in Publisher 2002 or in Publisher 2003 (282256)

This article was previously published under Q282256 SYMPTOMS When you print to a PostScript printer or to a PostScript
file by using a Linotronic PostScript driver that is provided by Microsoft Windows 2000,
you may experience one of the following symptoms - A blank page is printed from the PostScript
printer.
- Nothing is printed from the PostScript printer.
- A PostScript error is generated when you try to view a
PostScript file by using a PostScript viewer application.
- A PostScript error occurs when you try to convert a
PostScript file to the PDF format using Adobe Acrobat Distiller.
If you are a commercial printer, you have only two ways to
install the Linotronic PostScript drivers on Microsoft Windows 2000:
- Install the Linotronic PostScript drivers provided by
Windows 2000.
- Install the Adobe 5.1.2 PostScript driver for Windows 2000
with a Linotronic PostScript Level 2 or later PPD.
If your customers installed any of the following Linotronic
drivers provided by Windows 2000, you notice that no PostScript file is printed
when you use one of the following drivers:
- Linotronic 230 v5.23
- Linotronic 260 v5.23
- Linotronic 300 v5.23
- Linotronic 330 v5.23
- Linotronic 330-RIP v5.23
- Linotronic 500 v5.23
- Linotronic 530 v5.23
- Linotronic 530-RIP v5.23
- Linotronic 630 v5.23
- Linotronic 830 v5.23
- Linotronic 930 v5.23
WORKAROUND To work around this problem, obtain and install the Adobe
5.1.2 PostScript driver and the appropriate Linotronic PostScript Level 2 or
later PPD. To obtain the Adobe 5.1.2 PostScript driver, visit the
