SYMPTOMS

When you try to open a Web that requires password authentication, FrontPage quits without an error message.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when the following conditions are both true:
  • Password caching is disabled on the computer.
  • You are opening a Web site that requires authentication.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office 2000. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
