SYMPTOMS

After you send a message to a group of remote access clients by using the Routing and Remote Access service's Send Message option, you may receive the following error message:
Messages cannot be sent to the selected client because the messenger service is not running on the client.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because one or more of the remote access clients is a Macintosh-based client. The delivery of these messages relies on the Microsoft Messenger service that runs on the remote access client. Macintosh-based clients do not have a comparable service to deliver these messages, therefore Macintosh-based clients cannot receive any messages.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
