Money 2001 or Later

To Create an Employee Stock Option Account

  1. On the Accounts & Bills menu, click Account Setup.
  2. Click Add a new account.
  3. In the New Account dialog box, click Not held at a bank, broker, or other financial institution, and then click Next.
  4. When asked what kind of account you want to set up, click Employee Stock Option, and then click Next.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to set up the account.
Note If your company stock has split since your original grant, make sure to enter the post-split number of shares and strike prices when you set up the grant.

To Add Additional Stock Option Grants

  1. On the Investing menu, click Portfolio.
  2. Click the name of the investment account in which you want to add a grant.
  3. Click New in the transaction form at the bottom of the page.
  4. In the Investment box, type a name for the new grant, and then click the Activity box.
  5. Click Employee Stock Option in the Create New Investment dialog box, and then click Next.
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen to create the stock option grant.
  7. Repeat steps 1-6 for each new stock option grant that you want to add.

Money 2000

To Create an Employee Stock Option Account

  1. On the Money navigation bar, click Investing, and then click Accounts.
  2. In the left pane, click Set up accounts, and then click Add a new investment account.
  3. In the New Account dialog box, click Not held at a bank, broker, or other financial institution, and then click Next.
  4. When Money asks you what kind of account you want to set up, click Employee Stock Option, and then click Next.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to set up the account.
Note If your company stock has split since your original grant, make sure to enter the post-split number of shares and strike prices when you set up the grant.

To Add Additional Stock Option Grants

  1. On the Money navigation bar, click Investing, and then click Accounts.

  3. In the left pane, click Investment Transactions.

  7. Follow the instructions on the screen to create the stock option grant.
  8. Repeat steps 1-7 for each new stock option grant that you want to add.
