XCCC: Deleted Conference Meeting Request Remains on List.asp Web Page (281961)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server

This article was previously published under Q281961

SYMPTOMS

After you delete an online conference meeting request from within the Outlook e-mail program, the corresponding meeting is still listed on the conferencing server's List.asp Web page.

CAUSE

When you delete an online meeting request, the following message is displayed: Microsoft Outlook
The attendees have not be notified that this meeting "meeting name" has been canceled. Choose one of the following:
  • Send cancellation and delete meeting
  • Delete without sending a cancellation
If you select the Delete without sending a cancellation option, the Conference Management Service (CMS) is not updated. The CMS is responsible for posting and removing meeting requests from the List.asp Web page.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, select the Send cancellation and delete meeting option.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

If you have already deleted the meeting without sending an update, the extraneous listing in the List.asp file is eventually removed.
