WORKAROUND
You can choose to install Microsoft Access (which needs Visual Basic for Applications support) and install the other Office XP programs without Visual Basic for Applications support. To do this, you can install Access 2002 as a separate installation. You will need to acquire the stand-alone version of Access 2002, and install it as a separate product.
When you install the stand-alone version of Access 2002, Visual Basic for Applications is automatically installed, but Visual Basic for Applications is not accessible with other Office programs.
MORE INFORMATION
Microsoft Access requires Visual Basic for Applications to run. If Visual Basic for Applications is not installed, then the Office installation program automatically prevents Access from installing.
