The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server

This article was previously published under Q281910

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to either define the Site Conference Calendar Mailbox or create conferencing resources, you may receive the following error message:
The required Microsoft Exchange System Management libraries are not installed on this machine. To fully administer Exchange Conferencing Server you must first install Microsoft Exchange System Management tools from Exchange 2000 Server setup.
As a result, you are not able to create the Site Conference Calendar Mailbox or any conference resources.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when you install Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server in Minimum mode, or if the Microsoft Exchange System Management component has been removed from the system.

There are additional dynamic-link libraries (DLLs) that are installed with the Exchange System Manager that provide the functionality needed to create the conferencing object's mailboxes.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the Exchange System Management component by running Exchange 2000 Server setup.
