SYMPTOMS

On a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer, the Compaq / S3 video utility that allows the user to switch from LCD to CRT and select the refresh rate does not function as expected.

CAUSE

The tool supplied by Compaq, is not compatible with Windows XP, please contact Compaq for an updated version of this utility that will function on Windows XP.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
