The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Mobile Information 2001 Server
This article was previously published under Q281768 SUMMARY
Message Queuing provides messaging and message queue facilities for applications. Mobile information Server uses Message Queuing and therefore, requires that Message Queuing be installed before Mobile Information Server is installed.
For each domain in which you will install Mobile Information Server, first install Message Queuing on a domain controller in that domain. Then install Message Queuing on the message processor computer.
MORE INFORMATION
Message Queuing supports private and public queues.
Public queues are replicated throughout the Message Queuing network.
Private queues are not published across the entire network. They are displayed only on the local computer that contains them. Private queues can be accessed only by applications that know the full path name or label of the queue.
Mobile Information Server uses private queues.
