SYMPTOMS

When you start System Restore, select Restore my computer to an earlier time, and then click Next. An interface is displayed where you can select the restore point, and a calendar that displays the days in bold where you created restore points. (By default, the calendar displays the days in the current month. In addition, the calendar may display some days of the previous and following month.)

However, even if you created a restore point on one of the last days of a month, it does not appear bold in the current calendar. Only restore points that you created in the current month appear in bold. To see the dates that represent restore points of the previous month in bold, click the arrow to the left of the month, and then pick a restore point from there.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, navigate to a previous or subsequent month using the calendar control to view restore points for that month. The calendar control displays days that are associated with other months in light gray font.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
