SYMPTOMS

During Windows 2000 Setup, your CD-ROM may become unavailable. This may occur after Text mode Setup is complete and Graphic User Interface (GUI) mode Setup starts. This symptom typically occurs if the CD-ROM is connected to the second IDE controller that is integrated with your computer mainboard.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if your computer BIOS is out-of-date.

RESOLUTION
