Internet Explorer 5.5 Does Not Load a Redirected Document (281564)

If you try to load a document that uses the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) <EMBED> tag and if that document is redirected to another site, Internet Explorer does not perform the redirect instruction, and the ActiveX control that is needed to view the document loads with a blank document.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because Internet Explorer 5.5 closes the port after it receives the redirect instruction and before it makes the new request since the host names of the two sites do not match. When this occurs, Internet Explorer does not correctly interpret that access to the redirected site should be enabled because the redirection instruction has occurred.
