In Web View, InvokeVerb Script Still Runs Though You Click "No" to Running an Unsafe Script (281138)

SYMPTOMS

When you click No after a Security Alert dialog box asks whether you want to run an unsafe script, the script runs anyway. This occurs in Web view, after you open a folder that has a Web view folder template that includes the InvokeVerb script.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Windows 2000 does not check the appropriate permissions before running the InvokeVerb script.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
