This article was previously published under Q281074 SYMPTOMS When you send a message in Outlook 2002 with the following
options set
- Both the Office Shared Features and Proofing Tools options are set to Install on First Use.
- The Always check spelling before sending
check box is selected on the Spelling tab in the Options dialog box on the Tools menu.
- The Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail
messages check box is not selected on the Mail Format tab in the Options dialog box on the Tools menu.
you may receive the following error message:
Microsoft Outlook can't check the spelling or grammar in
this document. This feature is not currently installed. Would you like to
install it now?. If you click No, you may receive the following error message:
Error occurred while checking spelling If you
click OK, the message is sent. WORKAROUND To work around this behavior, click Yes when you receive the following message:
Microsoft Outlook can't check the spelling or grammar in this document. This feature is not currently installed. Would you like to install it now?
The Proofing Tools install and you are not prompted again.
