OL2002: Setting to Choose Connection Type When Starting Does Not Migrate to Upgrade from Outlook 97 (281067)

After you upgrade to Outlook 2002 from Microsoft Outlook 97, which had Choose the connection type when starting set, and you start Outlook 2002, the connection state is automatically detected, and you cannot choose to work offline.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, manually set the connection type: - In Outlook 2002, on the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.
- In the E-mail Accounts dialog box, click View or change existing e-mail accounts, and then click Next.
- Double-click your Exchange Server account, and then click More Settings.
- On the General tab, in the When starting box, click Manually control connection state, click to select the Choose the connection type when starting check box, and then click OK.

This behavior occurs only with Outlook 97. It does not occur when you upgrade from Microsoft Outlook 98 or Microsoft Outlook 2000.
