OL2002: A Meaningless Message Name Appears in the Print Queue (281036)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 for Windows 2000
- Microsoft Outlook 2002
This article was previously published under Q281036 SYMPTOMS
If you print a Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) formatted message from Outlook on a computer that uses Internet Explorer 5.5, meaningless information appears in the print queue instead of the message name.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because Internet Explorer's print engine controls the printing behavior of Outlook HTML messages. Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 uses the document title for the print queue, but Internet Explorer 5.5 uses the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of the document being printed. In the case of an Outlook HTML message, the URL is not useful information in a print queue.
