This article was previously published under Q280917 SYMPTOMS
When you open a message, Outlook seems to stop responding (hang) after you click a hyperlink to a URL that contains a script such as:
http://nyheter.idg.se/display.pl?ID=000830-CS20
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because when a URL contains a script, an OPTIONS request goes to the server that hosts the URL. If the hosting server cannot return the right information, the request eventually times out and Outlook seems to hang.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, paste the link into Internet Explorer.
