To troubleshoot issues with the Microsoft Keyboard software extensions, follow these steps.

NOTE: The following steps may vary depending upon the version of the Macintosh operating system that is installed on your computer.
  1. On the Apple menu, point to Control Panels, and then click Extensions Manager.
  2. Under Selected Set, click Mac OS n Base where n is the version number of the Macintosh operating system that is installed on the computer.
  3. Click Duplicate Set.
  4. Type Microsoft Keyboard to name the set, and then click OK.
  5. In the Extensions Manager window, click to clear the Keyboard check box under the Control Panels branch.
  6. Click to select the Microsoft Keyboard check box under the Control Panels branch.
  7. Under Extensions, click to select the Microsoft USB Keyboard check box.
  8. Click Restart.
