Error Message: Unable to Create the Mobile Outbox or Update the Settings 0x8007053D (280752)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to personalize a user by using http://server/airweb, when you click the device that you want to configure, you may receive the following error message:
Unable to create the Mobile Outbox or update the settings associated with it. Please contact your Administrator.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if ExOLEDB cannot contact the information store. The personalization process uses ExOLEDB to contact the information store to create Mobile folders. The client computer uses Mobile folders to enable push notifications wirelessly.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, verify that the information store service is running, and that the private information store that the mailbox resides on is mounted.
