WD2002: Line Spacing Button Graphic Does Not Change to Reflect Vertical Text Direction (280673)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Word 2002

This article was previously published under Q280673

SYMPTOMS

When the direction of text in a Microsoft Word document is set to vertical, the toolbar buttons for various tools and formats (for example, Numbering, Bullets, Alignment, Indentation, Columns, and so forth) change in appearance to reflect the vertical orientation of the text. However, the Line Spacing button on the Formatting toolbar unexpectedly retains a horizontal graphic, the same as it does for text that is horizontally oriented.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
