WD2002: Cell Alignment ToolTips Are Missing from Shortcut Menu (280626)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the shortcut menu to change the cell alignment of a table, there are no ToolTips for the choices.

To view the shortcut menu, right-click text anywhere in a table cell. On the shortcut menu that appears, point to Cell Alignment.

CAUSE

ToolTips for cell alignment are not visible on the shortcut menu.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Select the cells of the table that you want to format.
  2. On the View menu, click Toolbars, and then click Tables and Borders.
  3. Click the cell alignment drop-down arrow on the Tables and Borders toolbar, and then hold the mouse pointer briefly over each choice to see the ToolTip.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
