SYMPTOMS

You cannot use the Remote Desktop Sharing feature of Netmeeting to control a Windows 2000 Server with Certificate Services installed.

WORKAROUND

To perform remote administration of a Windows 2000 Server with Certificate Services installed, use the Remote Administration feature of Terminal Services. For this to work, the server that you plan to remotely administer should have Terminal Services installed in Remote Administration mode.

MORE INFORMATION

When Certificate Services is installed and the service is started on a Windows 2000 Server computer, you can start Netmeeting (version 3.01) and enable Remote Desktop Sharing. However, when a user on a different computer starts Netmeeting and places a call to this computer, he or she will be unable to connect and the following message is displayed:
The person you called is not able to accept NetMeeting calls.
