This article was previously published under Q280484

SYMPTOMS

When you use a Windows Server 2003-based computer, you cannot remotely administer an IP-in-IP tunnel that was created in Windows 2000 using the Netsh.exe tool. Additionally, you cannot use the Windows Server 2003 version of the RRAS management snap-in to administer an IP-in-IP Tunnel interface created with the Windows 2000 version of the Routing and Remote Access (RRAS) management snap-in.

CAUSE

This functionality is not supported in Windows Server 2003.

MORE INFORMATION

You can only remotely administer an IP-in-IP tunnel from a computer that is running Windows 2000, or by using Terminal Services to connect to the Windows 2000-based server (that is running Routing and Remote Access service) that you want to administer.
