CMAK Password Cannot Be Set in CMP or CMS File (280478)

SYMPTOMS

When you are using the Connection Manager Administration Kit (CMAK) and you have added the password in the CMP file under the [Connection Manager] section, the password is not used.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

There is no way to set a client password by using the CMAK, and you must type your own password.
