To play Links 2001, you need:
  • Multimedia PC with a Pentium II 266 MHz or higher processor.
  • Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), or Microsoft Windows 2000 operating sytem.

    NOTE: Links 2001 is not compatible with Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 or earlier.
  • 48 megabytes (MB) of random access memory (RAM) for Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows Me (64 MB recommended); 64 MB of RAM for Windows 2000.
  • 250 MB of available hard disk space.
  • Quad-speed or faster CD-ROM drive.
  • Super VGA monitor and a video adapter with at least 4 MB of video RAM, capable of displaying a screen resolution of 800 by 600 pixels or higher with a High Color (16 bit) color palette (video adapter with 3-D hardware acceleration and 8 MB or more of video RAM recommended).
  • DirectX 7.0 (included) or higher.
  • An 8-bit or higher sound card with speakers or headphones for audio playback.
  • A Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device.
To play Links 2001 online, you need:
  • 28,800 bits per second (bps) or faster modem or local area network (LAN) with TCP/IP.
  • Internet access for Internet play.
