XADM: Event ID 904 Occurs When You Restore the SRS Database (280056)

When you use Commvault Galaxy for Exchange Server (Release 2.5) as a backup or restore solution, when you attempt to perform an online restore operation of a Site Replication Service (SRS) database, the operation fails and you receive the following error message:
Event ID: 904
Source: ESE
Description: SRSMain (1768) callback function call error ErrEseCBRestoreOpen ended with error 0xc7fe1f45
The backup logs report that the HRESERestoreOpen function failed with an "Instance not found" error message.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, get the latest patch from Commvault for the Exchange Server solution. Commvault lists this patch as Patch 17.
