XL2000: JPN: Excel Quits Unexpectedly If You Delete Data in Cell (279673)

SYMPTOMS

If you delete existing data in a cell and then press the TAB key or ENTER, the pointer blinks in a cell, you receive an error message (access violation), and Excel quits unexpectedly.

NOTE: The specific error message that you receive depends upon your operating system.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
