"Microsoft Excel Can't Start the Application..." error when you insert Microsoft Map object (279613)

When you try to insert a Microsoft Map object into a worksheet, you receive the following error message:
Microsoft Excel can't start the application required to open this object.
An error occurred and this feature is no longer functioning properly. Would you like to repair this feature now?
CAUSE
You do not have the necessary permissions to run Microsoft Map. This error message occurs when you are not a member of the Administrators or Power Users group.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, have an administrator add you to the Administrators or Power Users group.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft MapPoint 2001.
