Cannot Enter a Value for a Property Definition That Is Type Currency for a Category in Catalog Editor (279594)

When you add a property definition that is type "currency" to a category in a catalog, you cannot add a value for that property definition. When you open the catalog in the Catalog Editor, add a property definition that is type "currency," and then add a value to that property, the following error occurs:
Validation error in currency
WORKAROUND
If you need a property that is type "currency" for a category, use the built-in Price category, which is type "currency."
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Commerce Server 2000.
